Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is on the lookout for an innovative and forward-thinking creative expert to join our Creative Services Department as a Graphic Designer. This role will engage with various aspects of Penn State's renowned 31-sport varsity athletic program, focusing on producing high-quality designs that enhance the visibility of both the brand and its student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Assistant Athletic Director for Creative Services and Brand Management, as well as the Creative Services team, to develop original and imaginative designs for diverse media including print, social media, and web-based platforms.
- Create engaging materials such as social media graphics, recruitment aids, posters, game programs, signage, large-scale facility graphics, media guides, advertisements, tickets, brochures, maps, website and email graphics, logos, and various promotional items.
- Provide creative input and design support for associated departmental units, including Strategic Communications, Marketing, and Compliance.
- Manage a substantial and varied workflow, ensuring timely organization and tracking of multiple deadlines for both internal and external clients.
- Archive and organize files, projects, and artwork, fulfill numerous requests, assist in editing digital photography, and contribute to the planning of photo shoots.
Qualifications:
This position reports to the Senior Graphic Designer and typically requires an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in supervising and managing a student intern program is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and After Effects is preferred.
- Familiarity with additional Adobe Applications is a plus.

- This position may require some evening and weekend work, including the possibility of attending home football games.
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$46,000.00 - $74,000.00
