Job Title: Payroll Coordinator

At the South Bay Workforce Investment Board, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and oversight for the payroll department's tasks and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the tasks and activities of the Payroll Department.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of routine payroll activities.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related concerns and discrepancies.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits and retirement plans.
  • Analyze financial data and reconcile accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to payroll.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in payroll processing and bookkeeping.
  • Experience with payroll software and accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of local and governmental payroll regulations.
  • Excellent computational skills and attention to detail.
