Job Summary:

The Senior Accounting Professional at Peregrine Search Solutions is responsible for overseeing the financial health and accuracy of operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for leading and developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight:
    • Manage the monthly accounting close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and GAAP.
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
    • Collaborate with the tax department and external advisors on tax matters. Knowledge of tax equity transactions.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
    • Develop and implement processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
    • Recruit, train, and develop talent to meet the evolving needs of the accounting function.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Identify and implement technological solutions to streamline workflows.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial integration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification.
  • Big 4 / Public Accounting experience, currently or prior.
  • Experience in the renewables, utility industry is a plus.
  • 8+ years of relevant accounting experience, including team management.
  • Experience with company consolidation and partnership accounting.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hybrid - 3 days in office.
