Position Overview:


We are seeking a dedicated and qualified educator to provide specialized instruction to students with unique learning needs. This role offers a competitive salary starting at $70,000, with the potential for an additional hiring incentive of up to $10,000 and a late hire bonus of $3,000.

Key Responsibilities:


As a Special Education Resource Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to create and implement learning experiences tailored to the individual needs of special education students. This includes:

  • Designing and adapting curricula to meet diverse student abilities.
  • Collaborating with parents, staff, and students to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Utilizing various instructional strategies and technologies to enhance learning.
  • Conducting assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.

Qualifications:


To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Texas teaching certificate with the necessary special education endorsements.
  • Knowledge of the unique needs of students with disabilities and the IEP process.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:


Applicants should have at least one year of student teaching or an approved internship experience in a relevant educational setting.


Working Conditions:


This is a full-time position that may require occasional lifting and physical assistance for students with disabilities. The role involves maintaining emotional control under stress and working in a dynamic classroom environment.
