Job Summary

Rittal North America LLC is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team in Urbana, OH. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality sheet metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate machinery to produce sheet metal products efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good working order, collaborating with the Maintenance Department as needed.
  • Ensure the quality of products by adhering to current ISO procedures and engineering tolerances.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by Production Control and Supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to use tools of measurement and possess basic math skills.
  • Previous brake press operation or CNC experience is required.
  • Prior machine operating experience is also required.
Physical, Mental, and Safety Requirements
  • Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift.
  • Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds to waist level; frequently lift 25–50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above the shoulders.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, be able to adapt to assignment changes easily, and have the ability to multitask.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate with team members, supervisors, and managers.
  • Must also demonstrate an ability to learn and try new ideas.
  • Wear safety-toed footwear, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and additional personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Follow all other safety rules and know emergency protocols.
