About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at ARM, where you will play a key role in the design and development of complex compute subsystems and System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop I/O subsystems and SoCs, integrating PCIe, DDR, and other IP.
  • Work with project teams to understand and review architecture, and develop design specifications.
  • Write micro-architecture specifications, develop RTL, fix bugs, and run design checks.
  • Collaborate with the verification team to review test plans and debug design issues.
  • Work with the performance analysis team to evaluate and improve I/O performance.
  • Contribute to developing and enhancing design methodologies used by the team.
  • Guide and support other team members as needed to ensure successful project completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in design of complex compute subsystems or SoCs.
  • Strong knowledge of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL.
  • Experience with current design techniques for complex SoC development.
  • Experience developing and integrating subsystems for PCIe, DDR/LPDDR, HBM, UCIe, Ethernet.
  • Experience creating design specifications and developing RTL for SoC projects.
  • Experience with static design checks, including CDC, RDC, X-Propagation, Linting.
  • Experience with Perl, Python, or other scripting languages.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience with ARM-based designs and/or ARM System Architectures.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog and verification methodologies – UVM/OVM/e.
  • Experience leading small teams or projects.
  • Experience or knowledge in synthesis and timing analysis, power management techniques, DFT, and physical implementation.
