Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the design and development of electrical belt-fed Gatling guns for special operations. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, test, and validation of gun components, mechanisms, mounts, and manufacturing tooling. Aerospace design experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop gun components, mechanisms, and mounts

Conduct testing and validation of gun components and mechanisms

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design and development meet project requirements

Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports

Participate in design reviews and provide input on design improvements

Requirements

5+ years of experience in aerospace design, mechanism design, or weapons system experience

Experience with mil-stds 810 and DO-160 or commercial aerospace FAA standards

5+ years of SolidWorks experience

GD&T use
