About the Role

As an Insurance Sales and Service Representative at Choice Bank, you will play a crucial role in generating new business by prospecting, soliciting, and selling insurance products and services that meet the needs of our business customers. Your goal will be to build strong relationships with our clients through consultative sales, collaboration with our servicing team, and leveraging other Choice Bank business line relationships to drive growth and our reputation as a leading insurance agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Sales:
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities.
    • Respond quickly and effectively to referrals.
    • Prequalify prospects for quality of risk.
    • Create and maintain client or prospect lists.
    • Design insurance plans and recommend coverages to clients.
    • Create proposals and make sales presentations to prospective and existing clients on new and renewal business.
    • Complete and submit applications and related documentation to appropriate markets.
    • Develop, follow, and complete sales objectives.
    • Ask for referrals from insureds to help generate new business.
  • Retention and Continuous Marketing:
    • Develop a profitable book of business for both the agency and the carriers.
    • Provide needed information and clarifications about clients to company personnel, and document system by transaction date.
    • Review existing plans, at least annually, to upgrade accounts and remarket, if necessary.
    • Assist service staff to collect client information in preparation of schedules of insurance, summaries, and renewal proposals.
    • Review appropriate plan change requests and other account activity. Document automated file as appropriate. Use each client contact as an opportunity for coverage review and marketing of need covered. Retain assigned percentage of accounts at each renewal.
    • Continue to develop relationships with clients.
    • Accept and handle any duties/prospects as assigned by agency management.
  • Personal and Organizational Development:
    • Participate in sales meetings.
    • Identify training needs with assistance from managers. Develop a personal improvement plan and take responsibility for learning and improving technical and sales skills regularly.
    • Read and interpret technical manuals and insurance information from carriers, vendors, publishers, etc.
    • Identify and develop leads to be referred to other divisions.
