Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker to join our team at Community Wellness Partners. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, repairs, and replacements of defective parts.
  • Conduct basic electrical and plumbing work, with approval from the Operations Manager for safety reasons.
  • Lubricate, clean, or adjust basic parts and equipment.
  • Operate fire alarm systems, extinguishers, and other building safety systems as needed.
  • Set up and use drill presses, bench saws, and hand-operated electrical tools and safety guards.
  • Remove snow from walks, fire exits, steps, driveways, and parking areas.
  • Run errands within and outside the facility.
  • Transport residents to and from outside activities when necessary.
  • Assist in trash and garbage collection, incineration, and/or removal from the buildings.
  • Conduct periodic maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain grounds, including lawns, shrubs, and trees.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance on scheduled equipment.
  • Work other shifts as directed.
  • Attend all safety-related in-service classes as required by OSHA standards.
  • Adhere to the requirements of the Community Wellness Partners Safety Program.
Personal Requirements
  • Wear appropriate professional attire as required by the CWP dress code.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies, and other departments.
  • Be available to work beyond normal working hours as needed.
  • Attend and participate in in-service educational programs and maintain required hours.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
  • Be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Be in good health and able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of this position.
  • Have sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable senses to function adequately.
  • Be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
  • Be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, angry people within the facility.
  • Be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
