Overview

Position: Facility Maintenance Technician

Essential Qualifications

  • Capable of delivering cleaning services across commercial, industrial, or residential settings. Must exhibit strong work ethics.

Experience Required

  • Proven track record of relevant cleaning experience, ideally within a large organization, along with a robust work ethic.

Core Responsibilities

  • The primary duty of the Facility Maintenance Technician is to guarantee the thorough cleaning and upkeep of the premises in line with contractual obligations.

Specific Duties (This list is not exhaustive; additional tasks may be assigned as necessary, or specific tasks may be designated as your main responsibility.)

  • Dispose of all waste materials in specified locations according to the daily work plans. Conduct detailed cleaning tasks including floor maintenance. Execute standard janitorial responsibilities such as dusting, deep cleaning, vacuuming, sanitizing, waxing, buffing, and stripping floors, as well as cleaning restrooms, communal areas, and windows.
  • Wipe down all surfaces including tabletops, fixtures, filing cabinets, desks, dividers, partitions, elevator doors, entry doors, walls, and surfaces to ensure they are free from dust and grime according to the daily work schedules.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all restrooms, dormitories, gyms, offices, lobbies, hallways, classrooms, and production areas, following the daily work schedules.
  • Refill all supply dispensers in restrooms and ensure that all shelves and surfaces are tidy and dry.
  • Ensure that all glass surfaces, mirrors, and both interior and exterior doors are free from smudges, stains, discoloration, rust, mold, buildup, excess moisture, or spots.
  • Ensure that all designated areas are vacuumed, swept, and mopped daily, or as directed.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and move within the assigned work area or building for 6 to 7 hours (excluding breaks and lunch).
  • Some bending, stooping, and reaching required.

Additional Duties

  • Familiarize oneself with the employee handbook, hazard communication program, bloodborne pathogen procedures, and all safety policies and protocols.
  • Engage in monthly safety training sessions.
