**Job Summary:**

The successful candidate will determine financial aid applicants' need as prescribed under congressional need analysis and federal regulations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Administer, evaluate, process, verify, award, and deny federal, state, and institutional financial aid
* Determine financial aid applicants' need as prescribed under congressional need analysis and federal regulations
* Counsel and confer with students regarding student expense budgets and personal and family situations
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial aid applications and awards

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
* Proficiency in computer applications and the aptitude to quickly learn new technology
* Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks
* Strong, well-developed organizational, written, and oral communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience with Banner (or other higher education) student system
* A minimum of 3 years financial aid experience
* The ability to apply complex regulations to a variety of situations

**Work Environment:**

* This position will be located in Saratoga Springs
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule during peak periods
* Occasional travel and staffing of events during evenings and on weekends
