Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Instructional Assistant - Special Education to join our team at International Leadership of Texas. As an Instructional Assistant, you will provide instructional support to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction to students under the direction of a teacher, working with individual students or small groups.
  • Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
  • Assist with the administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly classroom environment.
  • Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assist the teacher in keeping administrative records and preparing required reports.
  • Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
Student Management
  • Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom, including lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
  • Maintain awareness of special needs or problems of individual students and inform the teacher accordingly.
Additional Duties
  • Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
  • Attend faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and education level.

Salary Ranges:

  • No Degree/ HS Diploma: $17,340 - $20,400
  • 48+ College Credits/Associates Degree: $18,870 - $21,930
  • Bachelors Degree/Masters Degree: $20,910 - $23,970
