Position Summary:

The Construction Technician plays a vital role in delivering construction services for smaller-scale projects. While not tasked with larger undertakings, this position may involve a variety of responsibilities based on individual expertise, including:

  • Rough and finish carpentry
  • Drywall installation
  • Painting
  • Prefinished hardwood and laminate flooring

Additional skills that would be beneficial include:

  • Tile work
  • Cabinetry
  • Carpet installation
  • Roofing
  • Electrical work

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and inventory the work vehicle with necessary equipment, products, and supplies for each assignment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and equipment
  • Prepare work areas for project activities
  • Set up staging areas and equipment for each task
  • Ensure job sites are left clean and orderly
  • Follow SERVPRO production guidelines as directed by project managers
  • Conduct end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup to maintain a tidy work environment
  • Adhere to safety and risk management protocols on-site and while traveling

Qualifications:
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Preferred experience in cleaning and restoration
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willingness to travel locally and out of state as required
  • Ability to pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
  • Capability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Exposure to various chemicals
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, drive, sit, and climb
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Repetitive motions involving pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying
