Ryder Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and diagnosing mechanical and electronic problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
  • Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Perform facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
  • Basic tools, required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
