RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I

Zurich is seeking a highly skilled RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team.

As a leading crop insurance provider in the U.S., RCIS offers insurance protection in all 50 states through a national network of about 3,600 licensed agents.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the agricultural area and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field inspections and related responsibilities, including reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields, and discussing findings of crop loss with farmers.
  • Ability to convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people on claim situations.
  • Perform fact finding regarding crop damage, record information, and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities.
  • Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area.
  • Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date.
  • Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory.
  • Valid Drivers License.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with crops, such as wheat, barley, canola, and peas.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
