We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Manager to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership, engineering expertise, and project management to support our telecommunications operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of telecommunications staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
- Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise to support the development and implementation of telecommunications projects
- Oversee the financial aspects of the telecommunications department, including budgeting and forecasting
- Develop and maintain radio communications contracts to support our radio infrastructure
- Monitor and track changes to FCC regulations and other factors that may impact radio communication
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as telecommunications or computer science
- 5-10 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of telephone systems, voice mail systems, and access/carrier systems
- Management experience, including experience negotiating contracts and managing budgets
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to interface with departments at the management/executive level
- Experience with telecommunication billing systems and radio communications equipment support
- Visio and CAD experience a plus
