Specific Information


The Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role within the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) Business Unit.

This unit is dedicated to delivering advanced electronic failure analysis (EFA) systems that enable our clients to meet their objectives efficiently and effectively.

Our solutions enhance safety and reliability across various applications.

Impact of Your Role:


The selected candidate will be integral in the design and production of electronic failure analysis systems, focusing on existing electrical and mechanical components, subsystems, and product evaluation, while also leading project initiatives.

The Manufacturing Engineer will oversee the implementation of manufacturing processes and drive improvements throughout the assembly cycle.


Key Responsibilities:


- Collaborate with fellow manufacturing engineers and cross-functional teams to develop and optimize electrical and mechanical systems for radiation monitoring equipment.

- Engage with internal project teams, including quality assurance, regulatory compliance, research and development, operations, sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, and sales.

- Participate in all facets of automation installation, upkeep, and execution.

- Propose design enhancements based on the latest technical insights.

- Efficiently manage projects, coordinate contractors, and mentor technicians under the guidance of senior staff.

- Document project milestones and track product development progress.

- Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives and support Lean projects.

- Assist in facility management and maintenance activities.

- Develop and support manufacturing process plans in alignment with technical requirements.

- Monitor manufacturing performance and manage costs effectively.

- Aid in the creation of technical documentation and procedures.

- Address any manufacturing challenges that arise.

- Investigate customer service issues and recommend design improvements.


Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:
- Proven experience in a technical manufacturing setting (minimum of 2 years).
- Familiarity with transitioning new products into production.
- Experience in maintaining automation systems is preferred.
- Background in a regulated environment is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Interest in collaborating across multiple disciplines to support product design and manufacturing, with proficiency in MRP and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of design processes and analytical techniques such as FEA, FMEA, Risk Analysis, and Tolerance Analysis.
- High self-discipline, motivation, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Occasional travel may be required.
