Position Overview:
As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will engage with various process teams to innovate materials, designs, and processes aimed at reducing degradation mechanisms, thereby enhancing reliability.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Addressing challenges during the continuous integration and deployment phases.
- Implementing design controls for automation machinery and equipment to facilitate production lines.
- Creating electrical designs for intricate automation initiatives.
- Detailing electrical schematics to comply with safety standards.
- Identifying and sourcing electrical components for your designs.
- Utilizing Six Sigma and DFSS methodologies throughout the tool development lifecycle.
- Presenting completed designs to management and team members for assessment, testing, and readiness for manufacturing.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechatronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A self-driven attitude, strong sense of responsibility, and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in working collaboratively within small teams.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with tools such as SolidWorks, Matlab, LabVIEW, and Python, as well as familiarity with control systems, is advantageous but not mandatory.
Knowledge of machine components, including electrical controls, AC/DC motors, servo motors, sensor systems, and general panel equipment, is beneficial.
A foundational understanding of PLC programming and control systems is also preferred.
Experience in Hard Disk Drive manufacturing and robotic technologies will be considered a plus.
