Diesel Truck Mechanic

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a skilled Diesel Automotive Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing car and bus service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and buy back/turn back service according to company policy and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engines and be able to diagnose and repair complex issues. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate repair records and ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
This is a full-time position that requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. We offer a competitive hourly rate, with opportunities for additional pay with ASE certifications and a Safety License Certification.
Responsibilities:
- Perform car and bus service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and buy back/turn back service according to company policy and procedures.
- Maintain accurate repair records and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines.
- Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections.
- Read and interpret diagnostic test results.
- Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts.
- Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
- Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
- Utilize multiple manufacturers' websites, software, and diagnostic tools.
- May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation, or buy-backs.
- Participate in company and manufacturer-approved training or other industry-related training.
- Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards.
- Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- No drug or alcohol-related convictions on driving record in the past 5 years (DUI/DWI).
- Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to complete PUC and pre-employment drug test and provide copies of the necessary certifications.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Two years of mechanical experience in a diesel repair shop servicing current model vehicles required.
- Must have your own standard hand tools to perform repairs and maintenance on current vehicles.
- 4+ current and valid ASE certifications required or must obtain at least 4 of the GP-approved ASE's for the Diesel Tech role within 9 months of start date.
- Class 4 license, or the ability to obtain to operate vehicles with a GVWR greater than 18K.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs when performing maintenance or repairs.
- Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) flexible schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.
