Position: A&P Mechanic
Worldwide Aircraft Services, Inc. is an FAA Approved Repair Station seeking both entry-level and experienced A&P Mechanics. Our ideal candidates will be capable of independently executing repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure aircraft operate safely and efficiently, adhering to FAA Airworthiness Standards.

We value the experience of veterans with military aircraft maintenance backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, replace, and reconstruct aircraft structures, including wings and fuselage, as well as functional components using various hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as shears, sheet metal brakes, welding equipment, rivet guns, and drills.
- Conduct routine inspections in accordance with manufacturer and/or operator maintenance programs, providing detailed reports of discrepancies found during inspections.
- Read and interpret manufacturers' service manuals, bulletins, and specifications to assess the feasibility and methods for repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Inspect, replace, and/or repair worn or damaged components utilizing hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
- Disassemble and evaluate parts for wear, warping, or other defects.
- Inspect, adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
- Specialize in the repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies.
- Perform engine repairs, removals, and reinstallations.
- Undertake other qualified duties as required.

Knowledge & Skills:
- In-depth understanding of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with unique aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, and micrometers.
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, technical manuals, and test equipment procedures is advantageous.
- Capable of prioritizing workload to meet project schedules.
- Basic computer data entry skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience & Education:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics Certification.
- A minimum of one (1) year of diversified aircraft and engine maintenance experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of aircraft, accessories, components, fasteners, and other hardware is beneficial.

Preferred Aircraft Knowledge:
- Familiarity with ATR, Embraer EMB-120, EMB-135/145, Fairchild SA226/227, Saab SF340A/B, S2000, Beechcraft KingAir is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
- Exposure to high noise levels from turbine and jet engine aircraft.
- Handling of dirty parts and lubricants.
- Operation of power vehicles, machinery, various hand tools, and ground support equipment.

Compensation:
- Salary range: $52,000 - $75,000 per year.
- Full-Time position; pay is negotiable based on experience.
