Lead Our Aviation Maintenance Team

At StandardAero, we're committed to excellence in every aspect of our operations. As our Quality Crew Chief, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our maintenance services meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership skills will be put to the test as you oversee a team of inspectors and technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign and supervise Quality Inspectors/Technicians to perform tasks required by the work scope.
  • Monitor performance to plan and take necessary action to ensure all work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Direct the team for maximum efficiency and effective use of available resources.
  • Ensure the use of applicable technical data, including manufacturers' maintenance manuals.
  • Ensure that inspection personnel are qualified to perform tasks and identify training requirements.
  • Monitor all work performed by the crew to ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and is airworthy.
  • Ensure that required aircraft maintenance documents and forms are complete and accurate.
  • Provide for shift turnover requirements and collaborate with maintenance managers and crew chiefs to achieve on-time delivery and on-budget objectives.
  • Help management maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure that assigned crews follow safety precautions and procedures.
  • Supervise a continuous safety program and maintain a focus on Human Factors in the workplace.
  • Supervise a crew of employees and be responsible for employee development, performance management, and discipline.

Requirements:
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of Corporate-related aircraft Initial Maintenance School or verifiable experience.
  • Must possess an FAA Mechanic Airframe & Powerplant Certificate and meet the requirements of that certificate as described in FAR part 65; subpart D.
  • Three plus years of leadership experience in an aviation maintenance environment.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Ability to lead and motivate subordinates, strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with QC systems.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, CFR parts 21, 25, 39, 43, 91, 119, 121, 135, and 145 as required.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft factory modifications, service bulletins, vendor information, and inspection program requirements.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and project management applications.

Preferred:
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) is a plus.
  • Associates Degree in an aviation field or aircraft maintenance-related experience equivalency is a plus.
