The Mitchell Hamline School of Law, recognized for its innovative teaching methods and commitment to accessible legal education, invites applications for two faculty roles within our esteemed legal writing program.
We are in search of candidates who are passionate about contributing to our nationally acknowledged legal writing curriculum. This program encompasses a comprehensive year-long course in Legal Analysis, Research, and Communication, mandatory for all first-year law students. Additionally, candidates may have the opportunity to instruct upper-level legal writing, skills-based, or doctrinal courses.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- A willingness to engage in diverse teaching formats, including traditional in-person classes, live online sessions, and our cutting-edge blended learning initiatives.
- An interest in aligning their expertise with our various centers and institutes, such as the Center for Law and Business, the Dispute Resolution Institute, the Health Law Institute, the Institute to Transform Child Protection, the Intellectual Property Institute, and the Native American Law and Sovereignty Institute.
Applicants must possess a J.D. or an equivalent international degree. We are committed to attracting and retaining faculty who exhibit a strong dedication to teaching excellence, scholarly research, and community service, all while advancing our mission of delivering superior legal education and innovative pedagogical practices.
