The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) is a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing biological and biomedical research. With a diverse membership of researchers, educators, and industry professionals, FASEB plays a vital role in promoting scientific education and collaboration.
Position Summary
The Education Specialist is integral to FASEB's mission of enhancing the understanding of biological sciences through the development and execution of educational initiatives. This role involves designing and implementing programs that foster excellence in education and training within the biological sciences community. Candidates located outside the designated regions will not be considered. Please note that this position does not involve laboratory or scientific research tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage educational programs that support the advancement of the biological sciences.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to promote educational excellence.
- Utilize strong organizational skills to balance multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Leverage technology, including MS Office and web platforms, to enhance program delivery.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve organizational goals.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in program management within a nonprofit or educational setting.
- Demonstrated experience in full-cycle program management.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, web development, and social media.
- Flexibility and creativity in problem-solving and teamwork.
