About the Role:

Infant/Toddler Early Head Start Teachers are responsible for planning and implementing activities to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of infants and toddlers (ages 6 weeks – 3 years).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans for a classroom of 8 infants or 8 toddlers.
  • Support students and families alongside a co-teacher.
  • Receive support for students and families from a classroom aid and a Family Advocate.
  • Document observations in Teaching Strategies Gold to align with Creative Curriculum.
  • Enhance language development of infants and toddlers through the use of LENA (Language ENvironment Analysis) technology.
  • Communicate child routines with parents through Procare Software and Remind messaging.

Requirements:

  • CDA Certification or 12 College Credits in Early Childhood Education (Required)
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Psychology (Preferred)
  • Must be vaccinated against Covid-19, or be willing to get vaccinated prior to start (Required)
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged
