Job Title: Managing Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Director to lead our organization, National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our day-to-day operations, including administrative, financial, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing, public relations, and social media campaigns to expand our audience and increase revenue.
  • Guide and administer staff and board fundraising initiatives to create strategies for growing contributed revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with business leaders and the funding community.
  • Oversee box office staff and utilize patron database management software to its full capacity.
  • Assess and adapt audience development, subscription, and fundraising plans based on our unique mission and community.
  • Drive our digital presence by implementing innovative strategies to grow followers on digital platforms and increase audiences for streaming performances.
  • Support the Director of Development in planning, production, and hosting of fundraising events.
  • Establish strong communication channels with the board and support their work to leverage their networks to secure resources.
  • Collaborate with the board to establish a long-term vision and sustainable strategy, create new operating models, and assess facility needs.
  • Develop and implement best human resources practices, including benefits administration, employee onboarding, hiring policies, and employee performance and compensation reviews.
Requirements:
  • Successful leadership and managerial experience, with a history of fundraising, community engagement, marketing, sales, public relations, financial management, operations, and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional communication and collaborative skills, with a desire to directly engage with our communities.
  • A passion for theatre and knowledge of the field, although not required.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package with a salary range between $105,000 and $120,000.
  • Benefits including health insurance, flexible paid vacation, holidays, personal and sick days, and access to the Biltmore Hotel amenities.
  • Relocation bonus for the placed candidate if they are not local.
