We are seeking a highly skilled Radiographic Testing Technician to join our team at Stronghold Specialty, Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting non-destructive tests to determine the quality and safety of materials.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blueprint reading and interpretation, as well as shop mathematics. They will be responsible for:
- Performing non-destructive tests (NDT) to determine material acceptability
- Recording and evaluating test results
- Ensuring compliance with radiation safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining equipment and inventory control
- Coordinating NDT inspection workload
Work Environment
This is a project-based position that requires the ability to work in a petrochemical/refinery environment. The successful candidate will be exposed to cold and hot working conditions, as well as noise and hazardous chemicals.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, the candidate must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related technical experience
- 2 years of NDT experience in determining material/product acceptability
- Proficiency in blueprint reading/interpretation and shop mathematics
Preferred Qualifications
A 2-year degree or certificate in engineering or technology, as well as petrochemical/refinery experience, would be an asset.
