NOC Technician

The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician will be responsible for inspecting and measuring the integrity of materials, components, and structures without causing damage. This role requires a strong understanding of NDT principles and techniques, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards and regulations
Identify defects in materials using various NDT techniques
Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes and standards
Prepare reports on NDT results
Select, calibrate, and operate equipment used in NDT
Supervise and direct the work of NDT trainees and staff as required
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent job experience
NDT Certification
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
Valid TWIC and Basic Plus training
Confined Space training
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or equivalent job experience
Petrochemical/refinery experience
OSHA 10/30 training
First Aid and CPR trained
Class A driver's license and a clean MVR
Work Environment:
This role operates in a petrochemical/refinery environment, with exposure to cold and hot working conditions, noise, and hazardous chemicals. The ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and with heavy equipment is required.
Physical Demands:
The position requires regular and prolonged standing, walking, climbing, and bending, as well as the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds. Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
