Decarbonization Subject Matter Expert

We are seeking a seasoned mechanical engineer to lead our decarbonization efforts as a Principal Mechanical Engineer. This role will be responsible for providing technical guidance and training to our design resources on energy engineering and decarbonization projects. The successful candidate will assist in the development and implementation of our decarbonization growth strategy and provide technical expertise to clients on energy and carbon goals, design concepts, and project economics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with senior leadership on decarbonization strategy and implementation
  • Provide technical guidance to clients on energy and carbon goals, design concepts, and project economics
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials to promote our decarbonization services
  • Supervise mechanical discipline managers and ensure quality management processes are followed
  • Recruit and develop technical staff to deliver on project commitments
  • Provide technical training and development of staff on energy planning, modeling, and life cycle cost analysis
  • Establish and improve standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for mechanical discipline areas
Requirements:
  • Accomplished mechanical engineer/PE with 20+ years of progressive technical experience in mechanical systems, thermal energy infrastructure, and clean energy technologies
  • Experience in technical oversight of multiple projects with proven success in meeting contract specifications and achieving high performance and advanced energy design standards
  • Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
