Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Hydraulics Engineer to join our Transportation Business Group. As a lead in our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and support in project delivery and business development. Your primary duties will include assisting the Transportation Hydraulics Lead in strategic planning, overseeing technical project delivery, and ensuring quality control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of strategic planning for transportation projects
  • Provide oversight of technical project delivery with a focus on profitability
  • Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Assist with staff development and morale
  • Participate in recruitment and training of personnel
  • Develop and manage personnel
  • Coordinate with area client managers and marketing staff to identify projects and contract opportunities
  • Develop stormwater management plans and designs for infrastructure projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Transportation, or Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • MS in Civil Engineering or related discipline a plus
  • PE required
  • 10 years of working experience related to hydraulics engineering, water resource engineering, and permitting for transportation projects
  • Successful project leadership experience is required
  • Strong leadership, planning, mentoring skills and staff management experience is required
  • Project experience and existing relationships with DOT and municipal clients is a must
Preferred Qualifications
  • Design-Build project experience a plus
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads Designer focused on storm water design and analysis preferred
  • HEC-RAS and/or SRH-2D river modeling experience is preferred
  • ArcGIS Pro and HEC-HMS experience is preferred
