Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Solvere Technical Group is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to fill a key role in our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Resolve technical issues and troubleshoot problems to maintain productivity and efficiency.
  • Test and maintain system functionality to ensure seamless operation.
  • Design and implement networks to meet business needs.
  • Consult with users to determine hardware and software requirements and assist with procurement.
  • Maximize computer system capabilities by staying up-to-date with technical applications and making recommendations.
  • Test compatibility of new programs with existing systems.
  • Gather data to identify and evaluate technical purchasing options.
  • Confirm program objectives and specifications by testing new programs and making modifications.
  • Evaluate vendor-supplied software by studying user objectives and testing software compatibility.
  • Install software and necessary applications for workflow.
  • Train users on new software through various channels, including self-guided training videos and user manuals.
  • Maintain system capability by testing computer components.
  • Carry out software, network, and database performance tuning.
  • Document hardware and software updates.
  • Stay current with technical advancements by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  • Prepare reference material for users by drafting operation instructions.

Requirements:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical employees.

  • Basic knowledge of networking principles and operating systems.

  • Security + Certification.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification.
  • One to seven years of relevant experience.

  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
