Job Title: CT Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Lombard, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform computed tomography procedures utilizing General Electric Revolution, Lightspeed, Brightspeed, and HD750 Computerized Tomography Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal image quality and equipment performance, as well as maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform computed tomography procedures according to established operating procedures, clinical protocols, and imaging techniques.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of inpatients and outpatients to ensure efficient utilization of CT equipment and personnel.
  • Perform Quality Assurance Tests on CT equipment to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance.
  • Maintain equipment safety by performing daily Tube Warm Up and Calibrations on CT scanners.
  • Communicate equipment issues or concerns to appropriate personnel and/or ILinqs issues directly to GE service.
  • Obtain patient history and other relevant clinical information; document all patient information on appropriate forms in preparation for review and dictation by a radiologist.
  • Responsible for charging of patient examinations, and preparing images and clinical information for interpretation by a radiologist.
  • Starts IVs using appropriate technique, prepares and administers contrast material, and monitors patient condition during the CT procedure.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Radiologic Technology program.
  • 2 years of experience in radiology.
  • ARRT Registry (RT).
  • IDNS License.
  • CPR.
  • IV Certification within 3 months of date of hire.
  • CT Registration within 1 year of date of hire.
Working Conditions:
  • Able to respond to requests to work on short notice.
  • Flexible in starting times to meet demand.
  • As required, must be able to transport, move, and lift patients.
  • May require rotating shifts and alternate days.
  • Exposed to infectious diseases.
  • Must take call.
  • Willing to work overtime when requested.
