MA United States Google Full time
About the Role

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe.

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project schedules, identify possible issues, and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead several programs for Google Cloud, setting priorities for products and engineering, leading teams to take products to market, assuring success metrics are informing future efforts, and quickly fine-tuning the program as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing programs and processes across distributed systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree, PhD, further education, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical-related field.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Experience problem-solving across distributed, fast-paced, and constantly changing environments.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
