About the Job

As a key member of our team at John Deere, you will play a vital role in supporting paint lab innovation projects and ongoing lab support. This position is an excellent opportunity to work with our Enterprise Facilities Services, Paint Manufacturing Services Team to coordinate project communication throughout the company.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support Paint Lab with testing and new method development.
  • Work with Deere software to perform engineering functions.
  • Provide technical and quality support for basic trouble shooting of paint operations.
  • Develop plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing. Create operator method sheets for standard work. Support cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas.
Requirements
  • Available to work during the academic year (16-20 hours) and summer semester (up to 40 hours).
  • Must be able to commute to Moline Tech center or other local John Deere unit in Quad Cities as needed.
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university or recent graduate.
  • Graduation date of 2021 or later.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
