This position reports directly to the designated team leader for shipping and receiving operations.

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Associate at the DC Fulfillment Center plays a crucial role in executing various tasks to ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

The role encompasses a range of activities, including but not limited to: Material Handling, receiving shipments, unloading goods, organizing inventory, conducting cycle counts, order picking, packing, and shipping utilizing advanced distribution techniques and processes. Titles associated with the Warehouse Associate role include Material Handler, Transfer Handler, Container Receiver, Bulk Handler, Picker/Order Puller/Order Finalizer, and Order Verifier. The individual may also be required to perform tasks outside their usual role as needed. All work must comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) while meeting performance metrics and quality expectations.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Work Environment:
  • Modern fulfillment warehouse equipped with various types of machinery and technology to facilitate efficient, accurate, and timely order processing.
  • High levels of automation and mechanized material handling equipment.
  • The organization prioritizes quality, safety, and accuracy over mere speed.
  • Physical demands include significant standing, walking throughout the warehouse, and consistent lifting of products (up to 50 lbs.). Use of carton knives, taping equipment, automated strapping machines, pallet wrappers, carts, and various hand tools is required.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • At least one to three years of direct experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution setting, particularly involving small parcel and LTL/LT order processing.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proficient computer and technology skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with distribution software systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities, are required.
