Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Western Territory. As an Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for conducting screening interviews, processing admitted beneficiaries, and maintaining ongoing contact with referral sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct screening interviews with applicants to determine eligibility for our program
  • Process admitted beneficiaries by orienting them to our program, explaining rules and regulations, and obtaining necessary signatures
  • Refer ineligible applicants to other community agencies and institutions
  • Maintain ongoing contact with current and prospective referral sources to ensure referrals at an adequate level
  • Prepare reports and statistical information as required by the Center Administrator
  • Maintain confidentiality of all records and prepare beneficiary files as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a Social Service field preferred
  • Two years of related experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Access
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Professional judgment and integrity in holding confidential information
  • Valid Driver's License
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files and office equipment
  • Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs
