Job Summary:
">The CNC Machinist III position at Tecomet, Inc. requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to operate, set up, and maintain computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
">About the Job:

- Operate, set up, and program CNC mills, Wire EDM's, and CNC lathes within specified tolerances following work instructions and engineering drawings.">
- Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling in machines as part of the new setup.">
- Perform complex CNC Machinist work, including progressive machining of various parts and metals with close tolerances.">
- Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.">
- Troubleshoot and understand CNC programs and processes.">
- Improve and produce work instructions.">
- Assist Engineering with redesigning fixtures to increase quality standards and productivity.">
- Ensure product quality by adhering to operator-owned quality standards and requirements.">
- Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different machining requirements.">
- Perform routine maintenance and follow Good Manufacturing and Good Document Practices.">
- Follow safe working practices and minimize risks to colleagues.">
- Achieve set productivity targets and identify ways to improve productivity.">
- Record activities on the job tracking system and participate in Continuous Improvement activities.">
- Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards within the work area.">
Requirements:
">Candidates must have a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5+ years of CNC Machining experience.
">Preferred qualifications include an Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship.
">Key skills include operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machines; running multiple CNC Machines; programming with some supervision; solid math skills; planning, prioritizing, and organizing tasks; and problem-solving ability.
">Work Environment:
">The work environment is representative of similar jobs in comparable organizations.
">Physical Requirements:
">The employee may be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, and hear. They may also be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee can occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
">Salary:
">We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
