Lincoln Electric is seeking an Engineering Technologist to provide technical support to engineers in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and be able to work within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support to engineers in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development.
  • Developing and recommending procedures and methods and preparing technical reports and documentation.
  • Performing technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommending corrective actions.
  • Utilizing schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
  • Gathering, maintaining, formatting, compiling and manipulating technical data using established formulae and procedures and performing detailed mathematical calculations.
  • Operating basic lab equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, temperature recorders, etc. (Training provided as needed).
  • On an as needed basis, training, assisting and observing other department personnel (as qualified) on the department equipment and/or process for improvements such as but not limited to safety, quality, ISO 14001 & 45001 and manufacturing proficiency/efficiency.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology.
  • Ability to work within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies.
  • Ability to work with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments.
  • Good organizational skills and computer skills; proficient in the use of MS Office including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
