Behavioral Health Coach

Job Summary:
This role supports district-level goals related to reducing disproportionality in the identification for special education and related services and discipline. The Coordinating Teacher and Behavior Early Intervention Coach provides behavior coaching and support to school-based staff, develops and maintains a data system to monitor the implementation of core instructional practices and supplemental interventions, and analyzes data to determine schools in need of focused behavior intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports district-level goals related to reducing disproportionality in the identification for special education and related services and discipline.
- Provides behavior coaching and support to school-based staff.
- Develops and maintains a data system to monitor the implementation of core instructional practices and supplemental interventions.
- Analyzes data to determine schools in need of focused behavior intervention.
- Builds the capacity of school-based staff to sustain implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), inclusive of the Behavioral Health Standard Treatment Protocol (STP).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, General Education, Counseling, or a directly related field from an accredited university.
- Five years of successful K-12 teaching or counseling experience.
- Experience in assessing student needs, planning, developing, and implementing targeted interventions, evaluating targeted interventions, and designing and conducting professional staff development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Special Education, General Education, or a directly related field from an accredited university.
- Leadership experience at the school or central services level.
- Current certification in Non-Violent Crisis Interventions (CPI).
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
This role operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The position requires the exertion of up to ten pounds of force and frequent driving of automotive equipment. The work requires independent and efficient access to multiple work sites within a workday.
