At Lake Huron Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Monitor Tech to join our team. As a Monitor Tech, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of patient care by monitoring cardiac rhythms and providing indirect care in the department setting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dysrhythmia interpretation and be able to transcribe physician orders in the absence of a computerized physician order entry (CPOE) system. You will also be responsible for verifying lab tests and radiology tests, preparing and completing patient charts, and ordering supplies for the unit.

We are looking for a team player who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent communication skills to meet the needs of the department. Responsibilities:

  • Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors
  • Transcribe physician orders in the absence of CPOE
  • Verify lab tests and radiology tests
  • Prepare and complete patient charts
  • Order supplies for the unit
  • Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate
  • Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred

Working Conditions:

This position is 19 hours per week or less working afternoon shift 3:00pm-11:30pm. Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
