Seeking a Dedicated Licensed Veterinary TechnicianWe are currently looking for a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to enhance our radiation oncology department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy, creativity, and strong communication abilities, along with a meticulous attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.

Key Responsibilities- Support the oncologist by anticipating needs and delivering outstanding patient care.
- Gather comprehensive patient histories, maintain accurate records, and facilitate client communication and education as instructed by the veterinarian.
- Perform precise IV catheter placements for anesthesia.
- Administer induction agents and monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery for radiation treatments and diagnostic imaging.
- Utilize low-stress handling techniques for patient examinations and sample collection, with proficiency in venipuncture.
- Assist in obtaining radiographs and utilize in-house laboratory equipment effectively.
- Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician with valid Virginia licensure.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed veterinary technician is essential.
- Radiation therapy experience is encouraged.
- Fear Free Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
The salary for this role ranges from $22 to $26 per hour, commensurate with experience.
