The Oncology Service (TOS) is Seeking a Veterinary Imaging Specialist to Join Our Experienced and Established Team.

TOS has been delivering specialized oncology services for companion animals in the Mid-Atlantic region for over 15 years. We are looking to enhance our service offerings in Richmond and support our multiple locations in Virginia with internal imaging assessments. Our Facility: Our newly constructed, state-of-the-art Medical Oncology suite spans 3000 square feet and is designed with staff safety as a priority. It features a negative pressure chemotherapy compounding room, five consultation rooms, a spacious doctors' office, and patient examination and housing areas that adhere to Fear Free standards. Our 1700 square foot Radiation Oncology and imaging suite includes two additional consultation rooms and convenient access to advanced equipment such as a Vet-Ray digital x-ray unit, an 8-slice GE CT scanner, and a Varian linear accelerator capable of IMRT/IGRT/SRT/VMAT. We also utilize Heska Element blood analyzers for rapid CBC, chemistry, ionized calcium, electrolyte, and blood gas results.

Our Skilled Support Team: We are proud to have a dedicated group of experienced technicians who are highly skilled and motivated, including one of the few technicians with a VTS in Oncology. Each member of our support staff is engaged in a comprehensive development program, including the Purdue Veterinary Technician Licensure initiative for all our veterinary assistants. Our team is committed to maintaining a high standard of patient care, and every member is Fear Free certified to ensure the best experience for our patients.

Position Highlights: This role offers the chance to collaborate with a team of five board-certified oncologists and access to numerous other specialists within our network. Enjoy a favorable schedule: we see patients four days a week with no weekend or emergency in-hospital duties.
