Overview

The Exhaust Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the design and development of exhaust system mechanical components and subassemblies. This role requires strong technical expertise and leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams and drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for exhaust system components and subassemblies, ensuring compliance with business standards and product requirements.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project execution, including design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to colleagues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs and solutions.
  • Manage project risks and resources, ensuring timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical developments and advancements in mechanical design and engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on exhaust systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance at the Secret level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on exhaust systems.
  • Existing US Government Secret clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience with exhaust nozzles, structures, ducts, and liners.
  • In-depth understanding of engineering technology and tools, such as Ansys, Siemens NX, Finite Element Analysis, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
