Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and installation of Medical Imaging (MI) and NDT equipment at customer locations or in-house.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install a wide range of MI equipment from multiple manufacturers.
  • Perform periodic maintenance on MI equipment.
  • Interface with customers to schedule service calls for both repair and maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support to customers and fellow service technicians.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure product repairs are satisfactory and service calls are performed to expectations.
  • Participate in planning equipment layout and facilities requirements for installation of equipment.
  • Advise customers on equipment compliance with current safety standards.
  • Partner with the sales department to determine replacement equipment needs.
  • Train customer personnel on safe and proper operation of equipment.
  • Train customer personnel to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Partner with the Service Coordinator to schedule workload efficiently.
  • Review jobs and timesheets for accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and supplies for assigned warehouses.
  • Responsible for maintaining valid calibration dates on diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Complete and submit weekly vehicle inspection reports.
  • Follow all safety practices and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Look for opportunities to benefit customers and the company.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in electronics.
  • Minimum 2 years medical x-ray repair experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
