Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Residential Substance Abuse Specialist to join our team at Harbor, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals struggling with substance use.

The successful candidate will work closely with our clinical staff to provide direct care to residents, oversee household operations, and maintain accurate clinical records.

This is a part-time position working 32 hours per week on 1st shift, 6:45AM - 3:15PM, with some weekend and holiday requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Residential Substance Abuse Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with monitoring and maintaining client daily household assignments, schedules, and activities.
  • Knowledgeable of the individualized care plan for residents and provide support to residents according to their care plan.
  • Ensuring and monitoring client involvement in 12-step programming through in-house meetings and community-based meetings.
  • Maintaining accurate, complete, and appropriate clinical records.
  • Performing all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or a Bachelor's degree in a human service field is preferred.
  • Experience working with behavioral health services is preferred.
  • Chemical Dependency/Counseling/Social Work Licensure is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI Certifications are required.
