Essential Qualifications for the Architectural Specification Writer:

1. Proven experience in developing Outline Specifications, Design Development, and Construction Document Specifications for large-scale commercial projects.

2. Proficiency in using Masterspec and Speclink software.

3. Comprehensive understanding of relevant codes and regulatory standards.

4. Limited to three positions held in the last decade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in drafting Outline Specifications, Design Development Specifications, and Construction Document Specifications for commercial undertakings.
  • Ability to conduct thorough product research and develop specifications.
  • Familiarity with specification software such as Masterspec and Speclink, or a strong aptitude for learning new tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering systems, equipment, and technology integration within construction projects.
  • Awareness of applicable codes and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and related software applications.
  • Experience in specifying sustainable materials is a plus.
  • Preferred membership as a CSI Certified Construction Specifier.
  • A valid architecture license is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • This position is primarily in-office with potential for hybrid work arrangements.
