Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, release, and maintain the interface control documents (ICDs) for the space vehicle and all external interfaces.
  • Support the development of the mission Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and functional baseline.
  • Define requirements and use cases for simulators to facilitate Collection Segment and Mission Integration & Test activities.
  • Collaborate closely with the verification lead to create the mission-level verification strategy.
  • Formulate and/or execute the Mission Test Plan and associated Mission-level Test Procedures.
  • Ensure all necessary simulators, Ground Support Equipment, network interfaces, and other resources are prepared for mission-level testing.
  • Lead mission-level testing activities, including early data exchanges, risk-reduction initiatives, end-to-end data verification, space-to-ground compatibility, factory compatibility, and multi-segment testing.
  • Assist in the development and execution of operations and launch rehearsal activities.
  • Plan and execute ongoing Mission Systems Integration and Test activities post-launch, addressing issue resolution, software updates, ground system modifications, discrepancy reports, regression testing, and operational updates.
  • Maintain a consistent and predictable work schedule.
  • Foster effective working relationships within the department, Strategic Business Units, and the broader company. Engage appropriately with colleagues to sustain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

On-Site Work Environment: This role necessitates regular in-person engagement, requiring you to work on-site five days a week at the primary work location. Occasional travel and local commuting between company campuses and other locations may be necessary.

Working Conditions:

  • Work may be conducted in an office, laboratory, production floor, cleanroom, outdoor, or remote research environment.
  • Occasional work in production areas may require the use of protective equipment and gear.
  • Access to various facilities may be necessary in diverse weather conditions.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Higher-level degrees, such as a Master’s or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Relevant technical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. The degree must be from an accredited institution recognized by the US Secretary of Education.
  • A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory.
  • Experience with spacecraft simulators and space vehicle testing operations is essential.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Experience in mission operations.
  • Familiarity with mission integration and testing, both pre- and post-launch.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Linux, software scripting, and JIRA.
  • Experience as a test director and/or test conductor in aerospace programs.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of leading group discussions, setting priorities, and delegating tasks as necessary to achieve objectives.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or CAM experience.

Compensation Information:

Full-Time Salary Range: $137,500

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. Individual salaries are determined by various factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
