Job Summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Lab Technician II to join our team. This role will be responsible for assembling, reworking, and testing complex circuit boards in an engineering lab environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, rework, and test complex circuit boards
  • Integrate and test boxes made up of these boards
  • Solve technical problems with advanced rework skills and electronics knowledge
  • Design, build, and test harnesses for space and airborne systems
  • Manage the engineering lab, working with engineers and other technicians to maintain lab processes, equipment calibration, and consumables
Requirements
  • 6 years of experience as an electronics lab technician
  • Significant assembly and rework experience with sensitive SMT components
  • Strong ability to perform intricate hand reworks
  • Experience with lab equipment for testing, such as high-speed oscilloscopes, power supplies, and electronic loads
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Preferred Experience
  • Wire harness design
  • RF assembly, rework, and test
  • High-rel experience such as aerospace
  • Lab management, including practical trainings, equipment calibration, and consumables
  • Scripting experience such as Python
