Your Role

The Leasing Consultant plays a pivotal role in shaping the community's initial impression for prospective and current residents. This position is vital as it involves greeting all visitors with warmth and professionalism. The Leasing Consultant will travel between various properties, showcasing the unique features and advantages of each community, while effectively securing lease agreements from qualified individuals. A strong service orientation is essential, as the Leasing Consultant aims to make all residents feel valued and at home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both residents and prospective residents.
  • Maintain the apartment community's appearance; conduct visual inspections, address concerns, ensure cleanliness, and report maintenance needs.
  • Prioritize safety by promptly addressing any hazardous conditions.
  • Keep an organized workspace, even during peak times.
  • Manage incoming phone inquiries professionally.
  • Build strong relationships with residents and potential residents.
  • Meet with prospective residents to assess their needs and preferences, present community features, and communicate benefits.
  • Follow up with potential residents.
  • Coordinate the move-in and move-out processes.
  • Complete lease applications and related paperwork.
  • Draft communications for residents as needed.
  • Update online listings and advertisements.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitive properties.
  • Prepare daily and weekly performance reports.
  • Ensure safety standards are met consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, potential residents, visitors, vendors, and team members while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Community Manager.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends.
  • Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management software is preferred.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to navigate the property, including climbing stairs.
  • Physical capability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, reach, carry supplies, and stand for extended periods.
