Job Description

As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company's products meet all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. The successful candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, knowledge of industry regulations, and a commitment to quality.

This position will support our Distribution and Manufacturing Teams in activities associated with Food Safety, such as maintaining data for raw materials and finished products. The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be responsible for setting up and approving raw and finished materials, liaising with Regulatory/Quality teams globally, and supporting vendor and product documentation. Daily contact with customers will be necessary to maintain their approvals.

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Researching vendor data, internal systems, and government websites to gather and compile information in response to customer inquiries.
  • Maintaining databases to support Raw Materials Data Management.
  • Reviewing raw materials for compliance with applicable regulations, customer requirements, and industry guidelines.
  • Creating documentation on products as necessary.
  • Issuing questionnaires and documentation to customers to support their approval of products.
  • Assisting in implementing updates utilizing multiple computer platforms.
  • Managing key customer accounts for approval of products and manufacturers.
  • Demonstrating dedication to achieving complete internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Formatting and creating regulatory documents.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of FDA regulations.
  • Reading, understanding, and interpreting regulatory information.
  • Simultaneously managing multiple deadlines and projects.
  • Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Having a strong understanding of FDA cGMP, HACCP, FSMA regulations, QA programs, Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) compliance regulations, and GFSI standards.
  • Communicating with suppliers and vendors to ensure they meet all necessary regulatory standards.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of Food Regulatory experience.
  • Quality experience is a plus and will be taken into consideration.
  • Experience can be taken into consideration if education requirements are not met.
