Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the flow of documentation and files within the department.
- Actively engage in Case Management and Treatment Team meetings.
- Review patient records to ensure compliance with admission and treatment criteria; gather necessary data and respond to requests for records from relevant parties.
- Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously while exercising sound judgment.
- Possess knowledge of Federal, State, and intermediary regulations concerning inpatient acute care and lower levels of care.
- Facilitate communication regarding discharge referrals as needed by clinical staff, fiscal intermediaries, patients, and families.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
1. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
2. Preferred experience in acute care settings.
3. Proficient in intermediate computer skills, including data entry.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
